Previously, we explored the Tree of Life as a psychological map that allows us to comprehend where our consciousness and ego operate within its ten sephiroth. However, possessing the map is not enough to achieve inner transformation. We also need to know the living forces that move that map in daily life.

The Descent of Light and Planetary Influences
In esoteric and Kabbalistic traditions, Creation is not a static event that happened in the past. Rather, it is a dynamic process of continuous vibratory generation. From the unmanifest, primordial energy descends by means of the Hebrew letters, flowing through the ten Sephiroth of the Tree of Life. There, it gradually becomes denser.
In this journey, each Sephirah acts as a prism that refracts the original light into a specific vibratory frequency. This vibration is expressed in the macrocosm: the galaxy. In turn, these planetary influences are reflected in the microcosm: the Human Being.
In synthesis, each Sephirah is linked with mathematical exactness to a corresponding planet. This harmonic association reflects the perfect correspondence between the cosmos and occult anatomy.
The Hebdomad: Inner Work and the Hebrew Letters
The relationship between the days of the week and the seven traditional planets of the ancient world forms the Hebdomad. These seven days are not simply a division of time, they have much more significance than that – they form a practical school for inner work.
Each day we receive a specific planetary energy traced by the Hebrew letters. This cosmic force exerts a direct influence on our psyche.
Although the English language days of the week come from Norse origin, the Latin based equivalents make the relationships between the days and the planets clear. As the Venerable Master Samael Aun Weor teaches:
“Since antiquity, seven main cosmic units have been recognised. These planets govern a day of the week, which facilitates carrying out certain things ruled by that cosmic unit. From each planetary unit come the names of the days: Monday comes from Moon, Tuesday from Mars, Wednesday from Mercury, Thursday from Jupiter, Friday from Venus, Saturday from Saturn, Sunday is the day of the Sun.”
The Hebrew Letters as a Manifestation of Life
The Hebrew letters are not simple typographical characters, but the living vibration that structures the cosmic order. The 22 letters represent the paths, the journey and the gradation of light until its manifestation in matter.
Their sacred composition is divided into three groups:
- 3 Mother Letters: They represent the primary elements of creation and correspond to the columns of the sephirotic tree.
- 7 Double Letters: They represent the organisation and polarities in the manifested universe.
- 12 Simple Letters: They represent the twelve signs of the Zodiac that characterise the firmament.
The Hebrew Letters and the Emanations of the Pleroma
In Kabbalah, the 72 Names of God are codes of the frequencies that sustain and structure creation.
Seen through this esoteric view, each of the 72 names is a combination of three Hebrew letters. Each combination derives from the Book of Exodus and channels divine energy:
- Matrix of Creation: The infinite light (Ain Soph) could not manifest in the physical world without “filters” or transformers. The 72 Names act as regulating circuits of energy towards matter.
- Geometry and Sound: Each trilateral combination activates a specific aspect of nature and of human consciousness, functioning as a law of spiritual physics.
- Emanations of Light: Biological DNA encodes three-dimensional life. Likewise, the 72 Names act as Emanations of the Pleroma. They articulate the divine energy that sustains the higher dimensions and the physical cosmos.
Sacred Gematria and the Hebrew Letters
The Hebrew letters possess specific vibrations. Their gematric value reveals their vibratory density in matter. This demonstrates that a numerical system exists which connects us with Unity. Understanding this allows us to become conscious of the proper use of the Word. For example:
- Ahava (אהבה – Love) = 1+5+2+5=13
- Echad (אחד – One / Unity) = 1+8+4=13
The Divine Connection: In Kabbalah, the frequency of true love and the frequency of essential unity are identical (13). When these Hebrew letters are combined and complemented (13+13), they generate 26, the exact numerical value of the Tetragrammaton (יהוה): The Sacred Divine Name.
Combination of the Hebrew Letters: From Ra (Evil) to Eran (Vigilance)
Gematria provides the antidote to the degeneration of divine energy. When analysing the word “evil” in Hebrew, Ra (רַע), we find the sum of the letters:
Ayin(70)+Resh(200)=270
If we reverse the order of the letters, we obtain Eran (עֵר). By retaining exactly the same characters, their gematric value remains 270, but their meaning changes radically:
- Ra (רַע): Represents imbalance, spiritual blindness, and the sleep of consciousness.
- Eran (עֵר): Represents the state of vigilance, conscious attention, and spiritual awakening.
For Kabbalists, this numerical equivalence reveals that evil is the direct product of a sleeping consciousness.
This means that evil is not an external force. It is the direct product of the Psychological Aggregate and sleeping consciousness. Therefore, the antidote does not consist of fighting against shadows. The key is to awaken consciousness (Eran) to dissolve the ego.
The Conscious Use of the Word in Daily Life
Every word you speak is a combination of living forces. The Hebrew letters represent the Powers of the Word that shape your psyche. There are no neutral words; every sentence emits a frequency that builds or destroys.
Become conscious of the words you use in your daily life. Observe your language before speaking and avoid idle or thoughtless speech. By purifying your word, you cease to feed the vibration of Ra (evil) and remain in the state of Eran (awakened consciousness).
Use the power of your speech rectitude and conscious attention in the present moment. In this way you transform the energy of the Hebrew letters into a practical tool for awakening.
